FAQ Communication

1. What does “Process Communication Model” stand for?

Process stands for the interaction in communication between two or more people. We focus on the space in-between. When X and Y communicate, a “process” happens. This process can be positive and productive or it can be a negative and destructive process.

The Process Communication Model gives you insights in the process in communication taking place and provides you with tools and techniques how to steer this process in a positive and productive interaction.

2. When I use tools & methods to actively steer a communication process, can I still be authentic?

This is a question we get a lot. “If you always do what you’ve always done….you’ll always get what you’ve always got!”
Over the years, we have developed habits. We shouldn’t confuse “habits” with “authenticity”. When we learn a new sport, a new dance, a new language, we have to go through a conscious learning phase before we apply everything automatic and unconscious. It is the same with learning a new dimension in communication. It is not because we never did it before, that it is inauthentic. If we lean in and allow ourselves to learn and experience, it becomes part of our authentic being.
