We have chosen Courage because it takes courage to change behavior as usually we are taken to our ‘edges’ or approach the ‘red lines’ of our circle of influence (Covey). And talking about ‘Edge Behavior’, it takes courage to step over the ‘edge’/red line into the unknown, thus leadership. In a leadership situation, a group setting or a team, one has to start the process of going over the ‘edge’ to discover what lies behind, usually the others follow at their particular speeds (The Leapers, The Road Builders, The Tradition Holders).
We design our leadership programs in such a way that participants have “inner experiences” and experience “inner shifts” which leads to lasting changes in behaviour. These inner shifts are experienced in the body and realised by the rational mind. This differentiates experiential learning from rational & structured learning methods where information is assimilated by the rational mind and not integrated in the body.
